James “Jamie” Kneen joined Aberdeen Heights as executive director in February 2015. He has a degree in health services administration from the University of Missouri, and has worked in hospitals in Wisconsin and Ohio. He served as executive director of a senior living community in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and was executive director of a large new continuing care retirement community in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
“Jamie brings a wealth of experience to our team and is well qualified for the position at Aberdeen Heights” said Bruce Shogren, Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America chief executive officer.
Jamie’s personal interests include golf, movies, fitness, cooking and wine. As a child, he wanted to be a fighter pilot and eventually become an astronaut. His first job was painting the exterior of his uncle’s factory. His personal heroes are Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. Something most people don’t know about Jamie is that he collects Santa Claus postcards from the early 1900s.
