James “Jamie” Kneen

James “Jamie” Kneen

Executive Director

James “Jamie” Kneen joined Aberdeen Heights as executive director in February 2015. He has a degree in health services administration from the University of Missouri, and has worked in hospitals in Wisconsin and Ohio. He served as executive director of a senior living community in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and was executive director of a large new continuing care retirement community in downtown Chicago, Illinois.

“Jamie brings a wealth of experience to our team and is well qualified for the position at Aberdeen Heights” said Bruce Shogren, Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America chief executive officer.

Jamie’s personal interests include golf, movies, fitness, cooking and wine. As a child, he wanted to be a fighter pilot and eventually become an astronaut. His first job was painting the exterior of his uncle’s factory. His personal heroes are Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln. Something most people don’t know about Jamie is that he collects Santa Claus postcards from the early 1900s.

Kathleen Wayman

Marketing Director

Kathleen first joined Aberdeen Heights as a senior living counselor in August 2007. She had spent the previous six years in a similar position at Meramec Bluffs, a continuing care retirement community. After leaving us for a brief period to perform marketing outreach at St. Andrew’s Senior Solutions, Kathleen returned to Aberdeen Heights in 2011 as marketing director. Kathleen has a bachelor of business administration-marketing degree from Loyola University and a master’s in gerontology from Webster University. When not in the office, Kathleen enjoys bike riding and working on ACTS retreats for her church. Her first job was managing a 300-apartment Section 8 building in downtown St. Louis for 7 years. As a child, she wanted to be a nurse; with 5 younger siblings, she had lots of practice. Her favorite comedian is her son, Matt Wayman, and her hero is her father, because he raised a family of 8 children while serving as the primary caregiver for his father and mother.

Katie Bouvatte

Katie Bouvatte

Director of Resident Services

Katie joined Aberdeen Heights in January 2016 as director of resident services. Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received both her undergraduate degree and master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she specialized in gerontological social work. Prior to joining Aberdeen Heights, Katie worked as a transitional coach for Alexian Brothers Sherbrooke Village. Katie recently got married and lives with her husband in nearby Webster Groves. When not in the office, Katie enjoys traveling, walking her dog, and spending time with family and friends.

Carole J. Colich

Carole J. Colich

Director of Human Resources

Carole joined us in February 2017 after serving the previous year as director of human resources for Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers, and the previous 26 years as the chief human resources officer for Myrtle Hilliard Davis Comprehensive Health Centers, Inc. Carole holds an associate degree in dietetic technology with a specialization in nutrition care and food management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in foods & nutrition from Fontbonne University, and a master’s degree in marketing and management from Lindenwood University. She also is certified as a family and consumer scientist, dietetic technician registered, and a registered pharmacy technician. Carole is active in Bible Study Fellowship International and currently serves as the secretary for her bible study group. When not in the office, Carole loves to spend time with her family. Her favorite heroes are Jesus and the blessed mother. Something most people don’t know about Carole is that her favorite vacation destination is Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Jeff Eichelberger

Jeff Eichelberger

Director of Plant Operations

Jeff Eichelberger joined Aberdeen Heights as director of plant operations in October 2015. Jeff has more than 25 years of experience as a facilities director.

When not in the office, Jeff enjoys being outdoors, as well as cooking, archery, fishing and woodworking. Jeff’s first job was working in a grocery store. As a child he wanted to be an oceanographer. His favorite comedian is Robin Williams, and his hero is Theodore Roosevelt.

Something most people don’t know about Jeff was he was born in a military family while his father was stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jeff also lived in San Francisco, San Diego, Corpus Christi, Brunswick, Maine, and Jacksonville and Milton, Florida.

Dawn Gonzales-Rubio

Health Services Director

Dawn has always wanted to be a nurse and has been in this profession for over 30 years. She started her career in the emergency department and ICU at Cook County Hospital in Illinois. She thought she was going to stay where the “excitement” was for the rest of her career. Lucky for us, she took a position in a long-term care community, ended up falling in love with her residents, and she’s worked in long-term care ever since. She’s worked as a CNA, charge nurse, MDS coordinator, ADON and director of nursing. She’s been married for over 30 years to husband Michael and has four children ages 15-28. She’s done volunteer work in Columbia, South America, and for the American Red Cross. She’s also been a foster mom for the Humane Society. Her heroes are Florence Nightingale and Maya Angelou.

Bethany Holohan

Bethany Holohan

Life Enrichment Director

Bethany started her career in senior living at Oaknoll retirement community, a continuing care retirement community in Iowa City, Iowa. She was responsible for volunteer recruitment, community outreach and planning activities for all levels of care. She moved to St. Louis in 2004 and worked at St. Anthony’s Hospice as a volunteer coordinator. Bethany is a graduate of the University of Iowa where she earned a degree in American studies and minor in English with an emphasis in cultural diversity. Working with seniors is an essential part of Bethany’s life. She’s one of five children; has a 3-year-old son, Gavin; and loves family, friends and road trips.

Lily Landy

Lily Landy

Administrator of The Glen at Aberdeen Heights

Lily Landy recently became administrator of The Glen at Aberdeen Heights. A licensed nursing home administrator since 1976, Lily has worked in a variety of St. Louis County communities. She graduated from Maryville University with a degree in business management/administration, and in her spare time, she volunteers at community organizations and churches. Lily is also a member of St. Martha’s Hall, a not-for-profit agency providing shelter for abused women and children. She loves to cook, walk, play golf and, most of all, spend quality time with her family.
